Okay. Dial-up people, you and me need to talk.
There's absolutely NO reason to stick with dial-up. Why do you like it? Why do you feel that's all you need? I'm offering a cheaper internet that is HIGH SPEED. CHEAPER. And then you can do everything you still do and even more at a cheaper price, and do it faster. So you can get back to playing bingo, or whatever you old people do.
Seriously. Why do you exist? Why do people even sell dial-up anymore? It's just so...archaic. I mean, hey, I remember having dial-up when I was little, but eventually we changed to DSL. Then I got spoiled by the speed and then just wanted to die when I had to use dial-up at my grandma's house.
And all you people who are rude. You and me need to talk too. But you automatically assume I'm just stupid because I'm a telemarketer. Well, at least I don't have dial-up.
Someone told me "don't you have anything better to do on a Saturday than to just call people?". I wanted to punch him through the phone. This is my JOB dude. At least I'm out there trying to make money unlike some people who don't even look for a job because they're too busy ripping off people who actually work hard for their money.
First, I make less than 15,000 a year. Before taxes. I'm not complaining though. I love the fact I even have a job. After being jobless for over a year, I appreciate it so much. I cried when I got hired at the call center--I was just so incredibly grateful. You don't have any right to tell someone you don't even know that they don't have a right to do their job.
Second, I know your telephone number. And I can set you as a manual callback in about two seconds just like that. And we're allowed to call you as many times as we want. I can sit there and hit the dial button all day if I have to just to annoy you. So you need to answer and say you aren't interested or hear a ringing phone all day. You don't mess with people who have access to your information. That's what no one seems to realize. I can know where you live in about five seconds by just inputting your telephone number.
You better be glad I'm a nice person. But what happens if you don't get a nice person, who maybe gets your social security number, or even your address? So because you hung up on someone who might be having a bad day, and you just made it worse by cussing them out, they're gonna take it out on you and might steal some pretty private information. Yeah, they'd be fired if they got caught, but what do they care?
