You know, even though I'm a minimum wage worker (at least, I'll be lucky to be that), and am rather excited about the wage going up to $6.55 an hour, I don't agree with it.
That's right. I don't agree with it.
This increase means people will be laid off, food prices will go even higher than they already are, and restaurants will have to raise prices.
In July 2009, it will be raised again to a total of $7.25.
