I've Cursed Favorite Characters

WARNING: Spoilers for movies.

Almost all of my favorite characters in movies or books die. Without fail. And they have to die quite suddenly too.

The reason for this rant you can blame on 3:10 to Yuma.

Character Study #1: Alan Tudyk

Alan Tudyk, my favorite actor ever, died as Hoban "Wash" Washburne suddenly in the movie Serenity, which was based off of the wonderful show, Firefly. He died in the middle of a sentence.

Here he reads his own Eulogy.

Alan Tudyk, died as Doc Potter suddenly in the movie 3:10 to Yuma.

And in the movie Death at a Funeral, he didn't die, but he was high on a hallucinogenic for half the film (which was, by the way, really hilarious, because he didn't know it), so he didn't really get a large part.

Character Study #2: James Marsden

Not a favorite actor, but he plays my favorite character, Scott, in the X-Men movies. He dies without anyone realizing he's dead. What's with that?
