But why do we gotta go around huggin' all the trees in our yard?
If you celebrate Earth Day with a fervor that most people do, it's most likely that they are environmentalists. And that's not ALL the people, I know, but it's MOST. Do you people even realize what's happening to this country while we "go green"? I don't think you do.
Do you realize that environmentalists won't let us dig for oil in our OWN country, because it'll "ruin the enviroment"?!
Oh, please. Don't give me that crap. This Earth has been around for thousands of years. I don't think it's just going to explode if we don't use recycled tissues every time we sneeze!
And the "global warming" scare. First off, what is the Earth's "ideal" temperature supposed to be? Can scientists tell you that? If they can't then how can you tell if the Earth is not at an ideal tempurature? Why are we trying to set a tempurature for the Earth, when we don't even know what it's supposed to be?
And while all you people are out there hugging trees and saving the whales, thousands of lives are being extinguised every day through abortion. Let's save our own kids before we start saving animal's kids, okay? That sound like a plan to you? And if you even give me that stuff about how it isn't a "child" but a "fetus", then why do you think an animal is the same throughout it's development in a uterus? Whales are whales, right? Unless you think the same as evolutionists that whales evolved from hummingbirds (they really say that, folks, I'm not kidding).
Right to vote? Sorry. It's not in the constitution. We as an American people do NOT have a right to vote. We have a privilege.
And don't even point me to the 15th Amendment.
1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied
or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate
legislation.
This doesn't mean we have a right to vote in federal elections. This means that when a right to vote is granted (such as Georgia) in smaller elections, the people of the United States cannot be denied a vote by race, color, or previous condition of servitude. This does not give us a right in Presidential elections!
And the government does not "grant" us the constitutional rights. These are our rights as American citizens. The only reason we are being taught that they are granted to us is that the government can take them away at any time they please. They'll just say, "The government gave them to you, now we can take them away."
We must stop being distracted from important things in this country! Stop giving a crap about trees, whales, and whatever else is "going green", and let's fight back! We have an obligation as US citizens to change what we have going on around us and getting back to what our founding fathers meant us to be.
The government is only supposed to do TWO things.
1. Print money.
2. Provide an army for the nation's defence.
Now, nothing against the Katrina victims. But by golly, if you build your city in a cereal bowl, you better expect some milk to get poured into it! And if it happens, don't go crying to the government to bail you out! Get on your own two feet, have the citizens help you out, not the government!
Another issue bugs me as well. I once saw a brilliant bumper sticker.
"Work hard. Millions of people on welfare depend on you."
How true. Welfare is not the government's money. It is OUR money. We are paying people to be lazy and live on welfare. I agree with welfare, but only to a certain extent. It's purpose is to get people on their feet for a time while they look for a job, and then cut them off when they start making their own money. I don't want to pay for somebody to live when they aren't doing a darn thing to make money on their own.
Don't take the law into your own hands.
That's what we always hear, but law enforcement is not something citizens seize from police officers, it is a function that citizens delegate to police officers. The responsibility is ours, and we can chose to hire people to perform that function for us. If the people we hire to perform that job are either unwilling or unable to perform that function there is no law or standard that says we cannot perform that function for ourselves.
Take New Orleans as an example. After the levee broke, and after many New Orleans police officers fled, residents were left to fend for themselves. Looters were on the rampage .. stealing and killing with impunity. Would these "you can't take the law into your own hands" types tell you that under those circumstances you are simply not allowed to do anything to defend yourself or your neighbor? Would you buy the idea that you just have to sit there and let the plunderers have their way because there is no police officer handy to come to your rescue? Of course not.
Okay, I feel better. So get out of your backyards and into the government's business, because, we NEED to know everything they are doing. Sooner or later, right under our noses, the Communist Manifesto is going to become our Constitution, and people are going to think that it was in there all along.

I live my trees. They were but little seedlings and now I can stand under them.
You are right about many points but, are you stressed?
Are you taking your medication? No? maybe you should start!
Just kidding...
You know that things in this world are set in motion that cant be stopped.
There is only one thing that is going to change the way things are now.
Remember what that is?
One more thing to remember, you are not the only one going thru trials.
But I am glad to know that you are feeling better, I would hope so!
I think you missed the point of the whole post.
