Zelda Beta Worlds

So I acquired a Gameshark Pro V3.3.

I have two Zelda gold cartridges. One for regular glitches, and one I got specifically just for the Gameshark stuff.

I have an N64.

Oh yeah. I'm in business.

My plan is to document the beta worlds in the game and see if I can get anywhere new. I've already ended up in a few different places, but I still have to fiddle around with some stuff. Once I get the wires for my capture card, I'm going to do detailed documentation on this.

God, this stuff is so interesting. Just being able to play around with the leftovers in a game that the developers didn't get rid of, or being able to run around in cutscenes is just so fun.

There's a lot of codes and junk I have to input, but I think this is going to be fun. The videos on Youtube aren't really documentations of each world, and I would like to be the first to put up a whole "series" on the "Beta Worlds" of Zelda 64.

The name "beta quest" has very little meaning behind it, as the data does
not come from a "beta" at all, it is simply what is left over... Though
there are some interesting oddities such as missing houses and circles of
rocks which do not exist in the same manner in the final game, which may
lead you to believe you are actually playing a beta.

You're actually playing in cutscenes, being shoved into Hyrule without loading a game or anything. And lemme tell ya, it's creepy.

More later.
