Close....close call.

Whew. You know what'll wake you up?

When a car is driving on the wrong side of the road towards you, and you don't realize it until it's about ten feet in front of you.

Gah. Let's just say I didn't even have time to honk my horn. I didn't even look over in the next lane to see if anyone was behind me. I just swerved. Instinct took over. I don't think I even thought about it.

It was rainy, and going over Hudson Bridge in the rain at night is not a fun thing. All these stop lights shine on the road to where you can't even see the lane dividers. Really, really dangerous.

So I was driving along, and when all of a sudden, my brain did a double take on the lights in front of me. I was all like "Wait a minute...those headlights don't look like my headlights. In fact...they look like..."

And then it was too late, the car was on me and I swerved. I was a bit shaky after that, but thank God my car turns on a dime. A few seconds later and I would have hit the car head on going 50 miles an hour. I don't know if the person was drunk or what. But they did realize they were on the wrong side of the road, because when I looked in my rear-view mirror, I saw them doing a U-turn.

But wow. That was close. I must have this angel buffer around my car, because I have been in so many near-accidents it's not even funny. The only time my car has been in an accident was it was a pothole and no other car was involved. I havent even gotten a ticket before.

Glad you are ok. Scary, scary stuff. Like I always say, if God had wanted us to drive we would have been born with wheels on our feet. Well, I don't really always say that, but I might. If I actually thought that way, which I don't... :-P

Anyway, glad you made your save role and your dex bonus kicked...hehehe

lol, really. Yeah, I forget where I heard it...probably a movie, but I love the line "If we were meant to be operated on, God woulda put a hood in us somewhere."
