Well, it finally gave up the ghost. Our poor little washing machine died a spectacular death at 4:47 this somber evening. It bled water all over the kitchen floor in a last ditch effort to clean our clothes.
At least we don't have to mop now. The floor is nice and shiny.
We swept out the water using our broom (as we don't actually own a mop at this time), and that seemed to work rather well. We had to save the dog food quickly. By the time we realized it was leaking, there was about half an inch of water all over the floor.
So hopefully, we'll get a new machine out of it. At least get this one fixed right. Finally.
I have a feeling if we weren't related to the renters, we would have gotten a new machine already. All I know is that if people were renting this house from people they weren't related to, they would have demanded some major fix-ups.
Ah well. Onward we go. Life sucks a little right now, but hopefully we'll get through this.
And the dog is still limping. Meh. More money will probably be put on him only for him to die soon after, I'm sure. He's going to be 13 next year.
By the way, here is that story on the Serenity RPG that I told some people I would put up.
Firefly: Fight for Boros: Alternate Universe by me.

Wow, sorry to hear about the mess! Ha, nice job finding the bright side, though. Good luck getting a new washer! (and I hope the dog feels better, too)
