I Made It!

Well, I've gone and done it--I graduated! It was a beautiful day yesterday. And so many memories--amazing memories!




So, we're sitting up on the stage, and we're listening to this one guy talk FOREVER. I mean...he goes on for a good 20-25 minutes. He was only supposed to get 10 minutes max. So, he's talking...and talking...and talking! He starts tying in Humpty Dumpty with school...you had to have been there to understand THAT one. It was a good speech on impacting others though.



But that wasn't the funny part. Oh, no. That comes next.


So, the pastor of the church (I go to a private school) gets up. His name is Pastor Bo. He gets up and stands at the podium in front of us, and since I'm completely bored by this time, my mind is elsewhere. My friend, Taija, sat next to me, and she nudges me a little bit and points out the funniest thing I've seen in a while.


Pastor Bo's coat-tails were caught on top of his portable mike antenna. Oh...it was SO funny. I wish I had had my camera underneath my graduation gown just to take a picture of it.


So I'm sitting up on stage in front of hundreds of people laughing my head off. It was really embarrassing, because I started to cry. I was trying to stop laughing, but I couldn't. I'm a horrible laugher--once I start, I can't stop.


Finally, though, I stopped and got through the rest of the ceremony and graduated.

My friend Liana came home to spend the night with me, and she found my Kakashi wig. So she did "Jayne meets Kakashi" costume. Not too shabby, huh? (That's my harp in the background, BTW.)

And this next thing was a complete SHOCK to me!















MY GRADUATION PRESENT!!! A Honda Fit! YAAAAAAAAAAY! I bought floor mats and a CD visor cover for it today. I'm hanging my tassel from the rearview mirror (not in the picture), and I've even named her Serenity.




I'm hoping to get that on my license plate. For 25 bucks, I can customize it with 7 letters or numbers of my choice. So, here are my choices:

• SRENITY
• WASH
• FIREFLY
• EPONA
• DUSK
• ZELDATP
• KAKASHI

I'm probably going to go with SRENITY or FIREFLY.
