Another Blow for Sony's Playstation 3

...not like we weren't expecting it, though.

Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of Final Fantasy, talked about in the latest EGM about how the future doesn't include the Playstation 3.

Quote from Sakaguchi about PS3:

"I'm not interested in the PlayStation 3. The machine's architecture is tricky, and I don't like [Sony Computer Entertainment Chairman and CEO Ken] Kutaragi."

Quote from Sakaguchi about Wii:

"The system is intriguing, but right now, I have no plans on making a game for the Wii."

At least he liked the Wii. Sorry, PS3 owners. *laugh*

RUMOR: The next Kingdom Hearts game won't be the third game in the series, but it will be a spin-off that will appear on a hearty console.

OVERHEARD:

"Wii is a wonderful device, but has a different target audience. If we fail, it is because we positioned PS3 as the Mercedes of the videogame field. PS3 is after a different audience, and it can be whatever it wants--a home server, game device, and even a computer."

--Sony Chairman/CEO Howard Stringer admits the PS3 is a wee bit pricey. But, uh, at least it's a fancy piece of machinery, right?

Wii Game Lines (what I want in BOLD)

Mario Party 8 (May)
Metroid Prime 3 (Fall)
My Sims (Fall)
NIGHTS: Journey of Dreams (Fall)
Pokemon Battle Revolution (first online game) (June)
No More Heroes (Fall)
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (okay...weird title) (Fall)
Super Mario Galaxy (...drool...) (Fall)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (...double drool...) (Fall)
