Yeah.
Not that the plants were growing anyway. Two weeks and not a bit of movement. So the storm that came through last night dumped a truckload of water onto our pots, so we had to dump them, drain out the dirt and start again. Mixed in with the dirt a few of the peas had sprouted, but nothing terribly spectacular, and no leaves or anything, just one long root.
So we got some tiny planting cups at Walmart to start the process inside and then move them outside. We'll see if that works.
We got all the stuff for our fish today. Don't have the fish yet though, the water has to sit for 48 hours. So General Scales shall have to wait until Tuesday. We're getting a small koi fish. The name is spectacular.
We got a 10 gallon tank, some white sand instead of gravel, a little bridge, and some bamboo shoots for the bottom of the tank. Not real bamboo shoots of course.
PetSmart was amazing though, we got someone to help us all the way. He was very knowledgeable about everything I asked about. We thought about getting a turtle until realizing the starter kit for the turtle was $179 dollars. The fish stuff wasn't much better. Even though the fish itself is only 5 bucks, everything else was about $95. The bills are all paid up for this month though, thankfully. We had some extra, and it's only a one-time thing.
So we come home with this tank, and it takes FOREVER to fill it up because all we have is a pot to go back and forth with. It's nice though, it'll be cool with the General floating around in it. Hopefully not dying in an hour. We have stuff for the water, and food too, so everything should go alright. 40 day guarantee if the fish dies though.
On better news though, I have a nice bonus coming from my workplace. The goal this cycle was 9 sales to hit minimum bonus, I made 12 sales, so an extra $135 on my check for just that. With daily payouts it'll be about $185 extra. Taxes will be horrid on it though. I might get what I'm supposed to get on my check (660) instead of what I actually get (520-550).
