Went to my Aunt Stacey's and Uncle Robert's house to hang out for a bit. First we watched The Gamers 2: Dorkness Rising, rolled up some roleplaying characters, and then watched Wall E which was really cute (as always). Fell asleep about a quarter of the way through--mainly because I hadn't slept all night (to keep my work schedule). So the nap refreshed me for the RPG session.
Really wish I could have recorded the thing. It was hilarious. I was playing Keith, a blind bo staff teacher who works at the House of Fu--a run-down (but clean) dojo. He has Daredevil-type powers. How come everyone picks on the blind guy?
Uncle Robert played this shapeshifter hunk o' man-meat called Joe. Who is an overly-curious amorous daydreamer. Always hitting on Halo. I'm SO glad I didn't play a girl character.
And my Aunt Stacey played a little oriental girl named Halo. She wears kind of a mix of gothic and sweet lolita-esque clothes. And pink and black hair. She shoots (in her own words) "sparklies" from her hands. (Keith calls them "fizzies" because that's the sound they make.) Disgusted by Joe's behavior 99.9...% of the time.
I bet a psychiatrist would have a field day with these character sheets. Really.
But anyway, the session was fun. We really just ran around randomly for a bit, and then a plot unfolded. We ran into the Horn-rimed glasses guy and the black guy from Heroes (I forget their names).
We'll be able to go online now and play, so I'll be able to record the sessions. Uncle Robert just has to get another mic/headset for Aunt Stacey, and we'll be up and running!
But I think we'll do something fantasy-geared because Aunt Stacey was really wanting to do that after watching the Dorkness Rising.

Hi, Bryn. Was fun the other night. Can't wait to do it again.
I am working on actually writting up the rules for the system. I am doing the character creation stuff now. The other night's session showed me what worked and what doesn't. It also showed me the value of having everything written up. The rules won't be comprehensive, but will be a good foundation.
Anyway, it was a h00t. Can't wait to see what we get into in our fantasy realms!

Yeah, I'm kinda scared with what's gonna happen with the fantasy mod.
I'm definitely going to be some sort of thief or rogue. Chaotic neutral most likely. Something that's out for myself. Have to go over the alignments again.
